The JP is a four-year program, and each academic year is divided into three quarters: fall, spring, and summer. In order to be consistent, the JP uses the same three-quarter per year system as the UCI.

Fall Quarter: Septmeber-December (Fall semester at DUT)

Spring Quarter: Feburary- May (the first half of the Spring semester at DUT)

Summer Quarter: May-July (second half of Spring semester + Summer semester at DUT)
